When Gojyo wakes up, he's back in his room.
It would have been so easy to dismiss the memory as a dream, and god, he would really like to. But the physical evidence is clear: the scratches on his chest are faint and nearly healed, but the ring of nail marks around the base of his cock will itch for another two days at least.
Not a dream, then.
He showers and dresses on automatic, chaining through a never-ending series of cigarettes (fresh, they're always fresh: the only thing that doesn't reset every night is him) until the room is lost in a cloud of acrid gray smoke.
He's never felt so betrayed. Love is supposed to hurt -- Mom taught him that -- but he never expected it to hurt like this. He's always known Hakkai would leave him one day. The people he cares about always leave him, that's just a given, like the sun rising. But to torture him first, until he broke and begged... that he can't forgive. Gojyo doesn't have much in the way of pride, but there are some things a man can't let go unpunished.
Hakkai is somewhere in this hotel, and Gojyo's going to find him. Now.

Hakkai is somewhere in this hotel, and Gojyo's going to find him. Now.

And to his shame his body has very strong opinions about being pressed up this tightly against Hakkai's back, and those opinions are making themselves known down south. Maybe Hakkai's right. Maybe he is just a slut. But he's still not going to let his best friend die over a stupid fight that he started.
"Sanzo." He speaks slowly and clearly, so there's no mistaking his words. "If you shoot him, I will kill you. Put th'gun away."
no subject
Putting the gun away, he moved forward to grab Hakkai's shirt, ignoring how Gojyo was hanging onto him. Sanzo just wanted to punch him but he even resisted on doing that.
"I told you I wouldn't kill you just because you want to die."
no subject
He was still shaking with tension as Sanzo moved closer, but oddly enough, he wasn't upright so much as leaning back against Gojyo's solid weight. They might be at odds, but seeking even that tiny bit of instinctive comfort was something that went beyond bone deep.
"You're both fools."
no subject
"Sanzo. Your room nearby?"
no subject
It was the room he'd forced Hakkai to start sharing with him so he could keep an eye on him. Letting go of his shirt, Sanzo turned to head towards his room, fully expecting Gojyo to drag the other along with them.

The moment Sanzo's back was turned, Hakkai's arms shuddered as if fighting the urge to go after him again. It might be barely restrained, but it just showed that while his control was scant, he did still have a little left.
"Ah yes, the room where I don't even have a bed. Perfect for the an animal, hm?"
no subject
"You...?" Puzzled, he stared after Sanzo's retreating form. "You're livin' together?"
no subject
Sanzo didn't even bother to deal with the redhead's confusion. It wasn't necessary and a waste of time. What he did say though was this. "The only animal allowed in my room is the monkey."
no subject
"Not exactly by choice..."
no subject
"If you don't like sleepin' on the floor in his room... why don't you just go back to your own?"
no subject
Clearly that was a perfectly logical reason for forcing Hakkai to stay in his room. The fact that it had been brought on by the other trying to kill him was another story but he wasn't about to mention that.
no subject
Hakkai was slowly starting to relax in Gojyo's hold, but it hadn't stopped the fine tremors that still slid through his body.
".... are you alright, Gojyo?"
no subject
"Well, sorry Sanzo-sama, but we're a package deal. You get one dumbass, you get th'second one free." He quirked an eyebrow at Sanzo over Hakkai's shoulder.
"It'll be the best slumber party~!"
He didn't bother to answer Hakkai's question. Neither of them were all right... but they would be. They had to be.
no subject
What did he just...say...?
"Who said you could stay in my room?"
no subject
Hakkai would be wide eyed if one wasn't already swollen closed thanks to Gojyo's impeccable aim. Shifting a bit in his arms, he craned his neck around to peer up at him, an eyebrow cocked.
no subject
"Did I stutter?" he drawled, raising an eyebrow of his own. "Besides, folks disappear all th'time in this place. It's too dangerous for us t'be split up. So I guess I'm roomin' with you two."
no subject
"It's my room, you bastard."
no subject
"... he has a point, Sanzo."
no subject
"And yeah," he continued, turning to Sanzo. "It's your room. But if you can't trust him to be on his own, then it's about to be our room."
no subject
"This way." Which meant that he was agreeing to this. Because they were both right. It would be better if they all roomed together.
no subject
"... as it seems that you'll be entertaining another guest, perhaps we should find a larger room... a suite, perhaps? That way, you can both have a bed. The larger bathroom would be a plus as well."
no subject
"Bet you twenty bucks your room's gotten bigger," he shrugged. "This place does shit like that. That is, assumin' th'hotel approves of us all shackin' up together."
no subject
Sanzo's thoughts could be so realistic. "If the room isn't bigger then we'll look for another."
no subject
no subject
"So where th'hell have you been, anyway?" he asked, leaving Hakkai completely behind and keeping pace with Sanzo. The burn on his arm itched like a motherfucker, and he couldn't help but rub at it. "Haven't seen you in months."
